First solid food

July 27th, 2005 by pjnorris

Today I had apple puree which I loved. This is my first solid food from breast milk. I enjoyed chewing the spoon more as I am teething at the moment and is causing some discomfort.

I also was bought a door bouncer today which means I can bounce to my hearts content.

Journey home

July 24th, 2005 by pjnorris

We started our long journey home back to the UK today. I have had a great time in Turkey and had a lot of people around me fussing all of the time. I had lots of fun in my baby walker in the apartment that Auntie Nebos brought from Mersin for me.

The flight was good and exciting, and I slept most of the night flight, unlike Mum and Dad who had to struggle back with all that luggage! We arrived back to the UK with rain on the Monday morning. Boo.

Grandparents left

Not well

June 29th, 2005 by pjnorris

Went to the doctors who prescribed Duocid for my cough that seems to be getting worse. I have to take this for two weeks, twice a day. I love it though, tastes really nice.

Flight to Turkey

June 26th, 2005 by pjnorris

Today I flew to Turkey with Granddad and Nanny, Mummy and Daddy. They took my travel cot and small buggy as well as lots of bags and suitcases – we are going for a month, so a lot of stuff had to come with us. Brett and Pinar took us to the station in North Camp where we took the train to Gatwick.

The flight was ace. I was reasonably good during the night flight. Upon our arrival, I was greeted by Sebos and my Grandfather and we drove to Gazipasa.

Bank Holiday Donkey Derby

May 30th, 2005 by pjnorris

Today the weather is very changeable. We all decided to go to the Donkey Derby in Farnborough. I went with Mummy, Daddy, Auntie Jacquie, Brett, Emma and Livvy. Pinar met up with us on the way home.

Whilst we were at the fayre, Auntie Jacquie convinced us to enter me and Livvy in to a baby competition. Out of at least 35 babies, I came third and had my photo taken with the mayor and mayoress of Rushmoor. I hope I am in a paper soon. I won £5, so I thought it was only fair to buy icecreams for Mummy, Daddy, Auntie Jacquie and Brett.

I return from Spain

May 27th, 2005 by pjnorris

Yeah – finally get to go home after a wonderful week with my grandparents in Spain. It was a long week to be away from Daddy. He was at Gatwick airport ready to greet us. I fell asleep though so he didn’t get to see much of me. When we got home, he hugged me and I did what I thought was a kind thing – throw up my milk on him…. I could tell he missed me.

Flight to Spain

May 21st, 2005 by pjnorris

I flew to Spain again with Mummy and Auntie Jacquie. Daddy stayed at home this time, it was very sad saying good bye to him at Luton Airport. Once again, I was very good on the plane… could get used to this flying lark.

Time to come home from a lovely weekend in Spain. I was very good on the flight again… more than I can say for the other baby on the flight – what a noise maker!

Mum & Dad’s first night out

April 16th, 2005 by pjnorris

My auntie Karen babysat me this evening whilst Mum and Dad went out with Brett and Emma, my future friends’ parents next door. They went to the Ghurka Palace for an indian – to help Emma go in to Labour. I played up a bit for Karen as she wanted to watch Television! Hahaha

Day Thirteen

March 16th, 2005 by pjnorris

My first trip to London today. Daddy drove Mummy and Nanny and Grandad around the sites of London in the evening. I had my eyes shut most of the time as it was quite exhasting sitting in a car all day.

Day Eleven

March 13th, 2005 by pjnorris

Midwife came today – I was officially discharged.

Day Eight

March 10th, 2005 by pjnorris

Last night was a good night for my Mummy and Daddy – I managed to sleep 3 – 3 hour sleeps, from 10pm through to 9am this morning. It was good, because I could tell Mummy really needed it. She had been suffering recently from sleep deprevation.

My Daddy’s parents were with me all day today. We didn’t go out today – but I have been hanging around the window to get light on my face.

Karen Wrigley – the midwife my Mummy see’s at the doctors surgery came around today – she was very impressed with my feeding, and my condition and said that we could be officially discharged this weekend if all goes well. Very exciting for Mummy and Daddy.

Feride came around with Elizabeth this afternoon – I slept through the visit, but Elizabeth had a cry as her nappy needed changing I think. My Mummy’s Dad made jestures to suggest that Elizabeth and I will get married one day in the future!

Day Seven

March 9th, 2005 by pjnorris

Lynne and her helper came and saw me to day – both midwives. They had to take a sample of blood for tests. They call it the heel-prick test. Daddy held me whilst Lynne took the sample. When she pricked my heel, I didn’t cry at all, but let me tell you – it hurt like hell! They then stuck a plaster on my foot.

Daddy’s parents took me out today. Daddy, Nan and Grandad took me to Marks and Spencer’s then on to Tesco’s. There were lots of lovely clothes in M&S which I had my eye on. I could tell Nan was interested in them too!

Once again, I slept most of my trip out – I am getting used to this.

In the evening, Auntie Karen came around and I had lots of photographs taken by Daddy with my grandparents and Auntie. Uncle Matt came around too – he had a funny accent though and I didn’t understand a word he was saying.

Day Six

March 8th, 2005 by pjnorris

Today I got to go out with Mummy’s parents to Farnborough town centre. The midwife suggested that I should get some fresh air to help my skin. In addition, Mummy needed to get some air, as she hasn’t slept a good sleep for a long long time now and is very tired.

The midwife came in the morning and was pleased with my health.

Later in the afternoon – I was crying a lot. Mummy was puzzled why because she had fed me and changed me. Then they checked my belly button and noticed that my cord had fallen off and was a little uncomfortable. It was nice to see my belly button.

More photo’s were taken today – this time with Mummy’s parents. Daddy’s parents had gone out for the day visiting friends – I missed them being around.
