Day Three
I woke early, letting my parents know I am here by letting out a little cry and then giving them the stares with my lovely eyes.
Breakfast was lovely, thanks Mummy. Then a torrent of visitors came and saw me, as well as phone calls from family and friends.
At 09.30, Lynne, the midwife came and saw me. She gave me the once over, checking that all was well. My cord was healing nicely. She also noticed that my tongue was tied. This was not causing me a problem as I was getting my feed from Mummy’s breast okay.
After Lynne left, I was given my very first bath by Mummy, Daddy and Grandma. It was fun and it didn’t make any fuss whatsoever. The water was the correct temperature and my cool hair was washed again. I loved it.
I slept most of the day only waking for visitors and my feeds.
In the afternoon, I was introduced to my paternal grandparents. They had flown from Spain just moments before to see me. I was honoured. Both grandma and grandpa were very proud and overwhelmed to see me, it was an emotional moment for us all.
Dinner was lovely again, thanks Mummy and then in the evening I managed to get an hour or so here and there for sleep letting my Mum and Dad get some rest. Then from 2am through to 6am I slept through.
